Direct Mail

Client: UWF Center for Fine & Performing Arts

This direct mail calendar for the Center for Fine & Performing Arts was designed so that both students and the local populous could be informed of events that take place during the calendar year. Originally, the calendar was solely designed by the in-house campus marketing department, but two years prior to my involvement, the calendar hadn't been produced and during my time as an intern I was tasked with starting a new layout which was to keep the old format (9 calendar months in a landscape flip design) and the majority of the basic layout with photos on the upper portion and columns of text beside them, with the actual standard calendar dates and information below. Throughout the six month process of this, many things ended up changing, including actual programs, which shifted around dates while creating new information. Eventually, after the lengthy process of our building director nailing down the final specifics, the actual product had been reduced to a semester-long double-parallel fold layout that was to omit all of the photos and text boxes. In the end, I managed to win over support of a few modified photos.

The sections containing the actual information utilized elements of my CFPA branding because these were originally tied together and while unconventional and unwieldy to work with, was an aspect I was keen on keeping. If I remember correctly, I believe the building director ordered five thousand of these to mail out locally.
